The last shoot of 2011 is one in style. Two beautiful models, and a concert piano. Great styling and idea by Lilly Rog, and a matching atmosphere!

Woohoo! Great team, models and location. Got the vibe flowing at the set of todays library shoot!

It’s 4.30 am, and I’m in the train that’ll take me to the airport, on my way to the microstock expo. I’m well prepared, and looking forward to an intense and productive conference. Lots of meetings with interesting people on my schedule, and many questions to ask. I’m curious what conclusions I come back with.

We’re shooting at computer shop Delft as we speak. Very productive morning. Images will be online soon!

Beschrijving workshop

In de workshop “Stockfotografie op locatie” zullen we verschillende modellen fotograferen, die bezig zijn in een – voor iedereen herkenbare – situatie. Het doel van de workshop is inzicht te geven over hoe een fotoshoot verloopt,  het op realistische en professionele manier fotograferen van alledaagse en herkenbare situaties, met als doel meer foto’s te kunnen verkopen.

Wat?

Een compleet verzorgde workshop op locatie, met diverse modellen en studioverlichting, onder begeleiding van professionele fotograaf en assistenten, waarbij verschillende concepten met een alledaags thema aan bod komen.

Wie, waar, wanneer?

Enthousiaste fotograaf, in bezit van een digitale spiegelreflex camera, met interesse in stockfotografie. Basis kennis over de werking van een dSLR is vereist.

Plaats: Omgeving Den Haag
Datum en tijd: De workshop Stockfotografie op locatie vindt plaats op een zaterdag in de periode Februari – Maart 2011, van ca 10.00 uur tot 18.00 uur.

Deelnemers: circa 10 personen (workshop vindt plaats bij voldoende interesse)
Prijs is inclusief lunch en dranken.

Afsluiting

We beginnen met een korte introductie “studiofotografie op locatie”, waarin we ingaan op compositie, werken in de studio, en het thema, dat we zullen fotograferen.
Daarna gaan we de studio in, waarin alle deelnemers – in blokken – de kans krijgen hun visie op de set te fotograferen, onder begeleiding van onze assistenten.
Tussen de blokken kunnen de gemaakte foto’s besproken worden met onze fotografen.

As intermezzo in between planning several big productions, we set out to De Uithof, to shoot indoor go-carting. An on-the-fly sort-of training exercise turned out into something of a challenge. Low light conditions, fast moving targets, and various light sources to shoot.

Rigging a camera to a moving object is one thing. Keeping it steady on a moving, bouncing, shaking and vibrating go-cart is something quite different. Definitely food for thought for a next time

We had an awesome time, went home later than anticipated, feeling pretty exhausted, yet thrilled by some of the results.

With special thanks to Glen, Glen, and, of course, Will and “De Uithof Kartbaan“, for providing us with the opportunity.

We’ve also produced a short – fast paced – video of the race track. The amount of vibration of the carts and the low lighting conditions proved to be too much of a challenge for our small eenie-weenie HD camera. Therefore, the quality of the moving images is sub par, I’m afraid, but you’d be the judge…
