Even though it’s been quite some time since we’ve updated our site, that doesn’t mean we’ve been lingering about. A lot of things happen behind the scenes, and in the mean time, we’re planning a head with some unusual concepts and themes for 2011. In the mean time, we’ve decided to shoot some more generic images, to keep the shutter and the work flow busy. Stay tuned for some exciting news!

Something out of the ordinary, as we shot the student demonstrations in Den Haag on 21 January, 2011. It’s the first time we’ve done editorial work. These images are exclusively for sale at the Nationale Beeldbank.

In more than one way an experiment; the opportunity to test the waters for editoral and exlcusive imagery, as well as practicing a different look (through a camera) on images. Although there’s most certainly room for improvement, we’re quite happy with the results, considering it’s something new to us.

In the aftermath of 2010, we present you with a review in 4 minutes on a hectic,interesting, and challenging year.

Energy, creativity and  swift developments came and went in rapid succession.

Last year, around this time, we presented you with our personal top 10 over 2009. This year, we did things a bit differently – Allow us to take 4 minutes of your time, and show you what we’ve been up to in 2010…

Somewhat in line with our recent shoots, yet also setting ourselves quite a challenge, we headed out to Pool and Billiards, to shoot some pool – with camera, of course. And while we were at it, we also included a frame of snooker and carambole billiards.

With seriously professional players handling the cue at the various tables, we tried to differentiate from the type of images, already available at our various agents. Considering the quality and quantity presently online, that proved to be rather difficult – it seems everything has already been shot.

Continuing our newly instated “tradition” of creating a short video of our shoot, we’ve again combined some of the still photographs with moving images, shot last week, this time accompanied by a “high-vibe” tune. Just for the fun of it. It’ll give you a good feel of the event.

Although we had a great time at Pool and Billiards in Rijswijk, and we’re happy with the images, I have my doubts whether we succeeded into bringing something new into this category. You’re the judge…

As intermezzo in between planning several big productions, we set out to De Uithof, to shoot indoor go-carting. An on-the-fly sort-of training exercise turned out into something of a challenge. Low light conditions, fast moving targets, and various light sources to shoot.

Rigging a camera to a moving object is one thing. Keeping it steady on a moving, bouncing, shaking and vibrating go-cart is something quite different. Definitely food for thought for a next time

We had an awesome time, went home later than anticipated, feeling pretty exhausted, yet thrilled by some of the results.

With special thanks to Glen, Glen, and, of course, Will and “De Uithof Kartbaan“, for providing us with the opportunity.

We’ve also produced a short – fast paced – video of the race track. The amount of vibration of the carts and the low lighting conditions proved to be too much of a challenge for our small eenie-weenie HD camera. Therefore, the quality of the moving images is sub par, I’m afraid, but you’d be the judge…

Last week, we gave you a sneak preview with a short film: The Making of the Accident. Now, exactly a week after the shoot, we’d like to share a small selection of the results.

We’ve only touched a small portion of the images we shot that day, and many more images will follow over the coming few weeks.

We look back at quite a successful and inspirational day. A huge motivator, to put together something even bigger and better, next time, but we’re already giving it considerable thought.

Thanks to everyone involved for your time, enthusiasm and hard work! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Now summer is finally over, we’re gearing up again to get back in action. Last Sunday, 12 September, we had a grand opening of  fall season shoots as we dived into a rather ambitious plan.

We staged an accident between a motorcycle and a car. A serious one, with victims, emergency response units on the scene, bystanders and even the press on site.

Looking back at a great day, we present you with a preview of our latest – until now, unprecedented – shoot. A selection of images will follow shortly.

Today, we shot several Laga crews in action during the races at the Bosbaan in Amsterdam.

Zaterdag 3 juli hebben we – met veel plezier -  enkele ploegen van Laga vastgelegd op de NSRF slotwedstrijden.

Het weer zat – met name aan het eind van de dag -  (weer) niet mee, maar de spanning en sensatie wel.

Met dank aan Laga, Arjon Pals, de kamprechters voor het meevaren, en met felicitaties voor de Jonghe acht voor de winst van het eerstejaars klassement!

Allez Lagaai!

Last Monday, we finally managed to plan in a shoot, which has been on our list for quite some time. Using the Corepics approach, we set out to Rotterdam Harbor for an industrial photography session, the primary strength of the 36clicks part of our portfolio. The weather was perhaps even a bit too nice, but the setting – as always – impressive.

Taking it casually, we scouted a few locations, noting the quick pace of changes and accessibility of the world’s largest harbor, and leisurely set out to half a dozen spots I’ve visited before. Taking our time,  shooting at various locations and shooting throughout the day, I think we managed to create a large variety of different photos.

Realizing it’s been more than a month since the last update, a small note to our subscribers: We haven’t been sitting still. On the contrary; our business model is evolving, and we’re successfully expanding into commissioned work as well.
