The Taxi

Corepics second large production involves life in and around taxis. With simple means, and a few dedicated models, we recreated a taxi scene. Mixing the feel of the French film “Taxi”, wih the Dutch TV show, we drove around the Hague, reenacting various settings.

It’s great to see the reaction of unsuspecting bystanders, when you drive around at night with strobes going off at irregular intervals. At a traffic light, we encountered someone who thought he got caught by a speed camera, but encountered a different surprise.

Car Guy

We met Car Guy at the Crossing Haagweg – Neherkade in Den Haag. We gave him our website address, and I’m curious if he’ll remember. If so, this is him. If he sees this, I hope he’ll leave us a comment… The image is not model released.

Taxi Ram Raid

During the 6 hour shoot, we covered various aspects of the life of a cabbie, starting at the driver obtaining his license, and placing the taxi sign on the roof of his car. We picked up various customers, from a businessman to a young couple at night. Then we headed out to the motorway, with a D2x attatched on the roof for some dynamic driving images.

Over the next few weeks, these images – expected to exceed 150 different images will also be unleashed through the various agents we work with.

A quick and dirty preview in random order of what’s in store soon.

It was a great day, the weather was rather favourable, and shooting in a confined space, such as a vehicle interior, proved to be challenging, but fun. Especially at night.

With special thanks to – again – our models, and the enthousiam of the corepics team.
